Beats means just that, Wilder didn’t have a clue how to deal with Fury. Tyson made him look very average nothing more, well done Tyson.
I’ve just found some old photos of me when I was a boxer.
If you turn them on there side, it looks like I’m standing up 🥊🥊
Loss is very painful. I feel for Deontay. Losing for the first time. He had spoken a lot of nasty things against Anthony Joshua when he had lost now is feeling it
Fury game plan was to get in close and not allow Wilder to throw those bombs.
And he busted the American blabber mouth open knocking him all over grafe😎😲.
And he was singing a song after that amazing victory.
Dummies keep saying Wilder didnt fight anyone, but who are these Powerhouses that Fury has fought?? I'm just glad that Tommy Morrison was the LAST White American Heavyweight Champion 🤣🤣🤣👌
And wilder claimed he would of knocked out a young fit Mike Tyson i don't think so lol
Let fury move on. He’s out boxed him in two fights
Fury burst Wilders eardrum in round 3....
Wilder was all over the shop after that.
That was the key.
I like how they each handled the victory and the loss, and AJ def wont be fighting Fury either. So mind as well make it a trilogy 👍
Fury is an exceptional boxer/tactician. Wilder is an unrefined fighter that needs to learn how to actually box.
They’re done now. Fury won both times. Needs to be Fury vs Joshua for undisputed
Best news for the UK. Bring him over here far rematch. Well dine Tyson
He's had 1 too many punches to the head... Licking blood off someone else's neck 🤢 strange creature!
Sorry that my brother Wilder didn't win but thanks to Mr. Tyson
Wow just watched this , wilder was taught a lesson from round one .
Exclusive footage from the Wilder corner.
An absolute destructive juggernaut. Wilder was bulldozed and couldn't back up the sh*t talking. Embarrassing performance from Wilder. Exposed for what his is- a one trick pony. Fury is an inspiration and deserved this.
Fury just smashed wilder all over Vegas, he took a couple of big rights in the 1st round and shrugged them off, that's when wilder knew his plan and fight was over, a 3rd fight is just about money and fury will probably knock wilder out, the fight to watch has got to be AJ and fury and after what I just saw fury will win quite comfortably
Wilder should've changed his corner two years back, or at least following their first fight. I don't really know what Jay Deas or Breeland have taught him. It doesn't look like they had any impact on his career and were following his coattails.
You guys acted a script, the last fighter in the ring was Mike Tyson the rest are Entertainers
3rd fight is pointless. AJ v Fury is what we all want to see. In the UK one Saturday in the summer!!!
A true Champion and advocate for mental health and lovely family man. Loving watching his current TV programme a true inspiration 💕
The skills gap caught up with Wilder at last. Fury has his number. He's done.
Blood coming out of the ear is a serious injury, Wilder’s corner were right to throw in the towel.
The rapper knows well the customs of the holy place. May be she needs to attract the attention of the world but she must respect the norms and culture there in
How dare she create a music video in a holy city. Its the city where the pilgrims all around the world gather. that place is so special for us. Please respect the customs of the city. You could have created the video outside the holy place somewhere in the country, not in the holy place. That is a insult to us.
Many singers came to Saudi Arabia and sang at concerts, but when a Saudi woman sang. This is considered immoral
A city cant be holy. Its the people that can be holy. Saying that a city is holy is tantamount to idol worship.
The holy city of Mecca must be respected at all times
It's that awkward moment when the BBC, which does the propaganda work of that evil regime, has to report a tiny part of it's evil......how about you report on their genocide in Yemen?
Everything is an insult to them... gee move on!!!!
To be punished for not believing or respecting someone's fairy tale.
Money does not open the mind, on the contrary, it makes you feel that you can do what you like. Middle ages doing well!!
Saudi Arabia is I think trying to slowly civilize their country but it doesn't work that way because of the internet. I hope they don't chop off her head. If they do then I hope she raps until her head leaves her body.
This isn't about religion. It's not about islamophobia. It's not even about slagging off the BBC for political aims. It's about the repression of a young girl who wants a voice in the world. Saudi Arabia or any other repressive regime who does the same should hold their heads in shame.
Bad music is not Good for the society
Playing music is respectful then , I thought it was a source of pleasure , relaxation , nothing to do with religion, which is destroying the world with its beliefs. Like murdering for a invisible friend .
Sometimes we need to put religion and those egotistical rules aside and apply common sense. Why are we making life so difficult for others? "Live and let others live" that is the only rule on this earth.
Not my business doesn't effect me or my family or my country so I will keep my nose out of it and not impose my views, try it
What a joke; Saudis telling anyone to show respect in Mecca. They don't even show respect to those attending hajj. People are hurt and sometimes killed because of the lack of control of the thousands of people stuffed into a tight space around the holy site.
Some of the "customs" aint all that🤨
So what has she done wrong!!!
Pretty sure that Music videos are not covered in the holy book..... could be wrong, as there are no OFFICIAL translations after all..........
Shocking , Saudi are usually so open minded and liberal when it comes to womens rights
And the west keeps letting more in to their own country’s 😂 not going to end well 🤦♂️
Such Hypocrites they organised open concert, then they Arrest girl who Released her music Video
Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Saudi Arabia, best friends of the British Government.
Well, they didn't come out and directly say it was because of religion, this time...
I thought she should be arrested for the poor quality of her music.
Shameful Saudi Arabia is punishing this young girl. Shameful the rest of the world is entangled in this dictatorship of a country that doesn’t allow their young people to be free in their expressions of music.
Bravo all in the world showing concern for this lad, i think he will have a better life now, the school needs to seriously get an anti bullying programme set up show films and have debates and watch Paralympic,s.
Ah great to see him smiling 😍😍😍 That video broke my heart. The bullies, bullies parents and school need to get together and put a stop to his and any other child’s torment! Shame on all bullies!
Saw a couple of interviews with his mother and a small documentary on him from 2015 when he was really young, 4 or 5 and needed some cranial surgery so that he could continue to walk. That kid has been through a lot.
So happy to see this, hopefully he will be better and keep up strong against the bully he had
The world needs to see bullying has catastrophic consequences on these young people...A lot of it has to do with social media ( not this case ) but it’s far too easy these days...🤬
I hope his school principal is reading the riot act to the little monsters who caused such suffering! Their parents must be so proud!😡😡
Message to the bullies jealousy gets you no where this amazing little lad is set up for life now will go on to wonderful things 👍
That’s wonderful now he is full of confidence bless him now the parent is very happy 4 him n 2 c him leading the team well done.
What a loving gesture! Good to see the world has caring people.
Negativity gets way too much publicity. Even at work there’s gossip and drama. There’s already so much of it going around, none of us needs to add to it. If we want the world to change, we must first be the change we want to see in the world.
This is wonderful, but his mum still needs to have a word with herself!
That video, she took, was so cold! She should have been comforting her son, at the same time as showing the world! At the very least tell him he’s safe, & loved - there was nothing but a camera in his face 💔!
He needed a hug from his mummy, & for the entirety of the video he didn’t get one - shame on her!
Heartwarming moment. I love the good responses and outpouring of support he has been getting since his bad day(s).
Nine year old cruelly bullied by his peers, gets famous on the internet for it and is then cruelly bullied by thousands of adults on social media. Where did we go wrong?!?!
He's got support from his own people that's good enough for me, they of all people will know his family tree and history, this boy is for real
Very cool. However it still leads to the problem... it’s someone’s kid that is doing the abuse. We need to stop pretending the bully doesn’t exist and that the victim only needs saving... both are in pain but the bully is the one that needs to stop... the parents of the abuser need to be called out. Not imprisonments but educated so this kids stop the cycle .
After, he bought the team a round at a pub.
How petty and twisted are those who push the ‘he’s really 18 agenda’ what the hell is wrong with those people.
Christine Osborn I’m so glad it wasn’t really a scam. But it’s truly sad that it was real.
Maybe would have been better if it was a scam and not a kid getting picked on to the point of being suicidal.
Amazing! The video of him broke my heart 💔! I would like to see the bullies reaction now! Their parents should be ashamed! I brought 3 children up with love and kindness and not one of them has bullied anyone! I have grandchildren now who are kind and thoughtful towards others too!
It’s ok to stand up to bullies BUT never be a bully yourself 👍
Oh boy, here come the conspiracy loonies who get their education from reddit and YouTube 🙄
Because that's what real heroes do. More power and support to you little child
It's wonderful to see the positive support for this lovely little boy and I hope he sees the good that is out there. I only hope the people who are responsible for his safety and well being at school are making changes at his school to ensure he feels safe and comfortable to return.
Love how everyone reads FB posts and tweets about him being 18 but won’t look any deeper than that. Guess it’s just easier to assume and cyber bully a kid than be a responsible cyber citizen.
World will be a blessing when we encourage and love one another for being human, not for color, shape, race and whats so ever. Am happy i saw this little boy loving him self back instead of taking his own life.
What an epic turnaround. Hats off to all those who made this little guy see the beauty in people.
Tried some of this the other day, it's superb. In theory, if I drink enough I can continue to heat my house using coal and wet wood...
OK given the need to actually distill the stuff I really think that the base ingredients make a tiny proportion of the total carbon footprint.
Hovis flavoured gin is good too! Dunk your bread in Gordon's gin, or should that be gin flavoured Hovis? Anyway a beared hipster with a lumberjack shirt on will try it..it may sell at £6.45 a shot (Other brown breads and gins are available)
Considering Gin is just pure alcohol (such as Vodka) flavoured with botanicals, such as Juniper and Orange, you can use almost any alcohol source - even industrially produced alcohol.
Emma!! First I'm saving Koalas with my calendar, now I can drink gin and save the planet! #RoleModel
Surely she tried this after drinking a bottle of gin.
''5 years of research'' my grandfather was making spirits from peas, potatoes and carrots 80 years ago.
Is this so special, or just for marketing?
I wonder whether all gin is CO2 neutral as it is made from spirit from agricultural produce, and those plants have also photosynthesised, fixing CO2.
Anyway, maybe it would be better if the peas were used for eating and the waste pods made into gin....
Is the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere really wrecked by the amount of gin we're making? Might be worthwhile to focus on larger footprints. Or maybe I'm underestimating the amount of gin we drink. Beats me.
Green washing Gin? Bonus, it's glutton free too!
Who knew getting hammered was so good the environment?
Pea growing involves culling thousands of deer . That’s one for the vegans to think about
Being a G&T and an eco enthusiast, I'm well impressed by this !
garden peas?? this is absolutely incredible....perhaps they should commence research on rice aswell, thats gonna be cost friendly because of the availability of rice.
I'd dispute the potential for mass production to be carbon positive!
Tractors and mass production of peas I doubt is far from carbon neutral?
Then there would be the study of the effects of a cows diet changing to measure the change in methane emissions from the cow?
Then there's the distilling process? Does it require heat and where does that energy come from?
An really, who wants Gin when there's Ale!
Why am I reminded of Tom Good's pea pod 'Burgundy?'
Do you understand the significant impact cannabis & hemp would have for being climate positive?
Thank God alcohol will save the planet
How about no gin at all.....theres a climate positive for you !!!
I DO NOT LIKE GIN.
Shouldn't that read Pea & T? ... someone at the BBC's never made a gin & tonic before!
if it tastes like fresh peas right out of the pod I'm for it
Slightly off topic but does anyone else like eating peas frozen or am I weirder than I thought?
Isn’t gin normally made from juniper berries?
What next for the wake brigade? Climate positive gin my ###***.
I live in Daegu, streets are absolutely not deserted 🙄
More people will avoid travel by air, cruise ships, Chinese and Asian restaurant's and takeaways, shopping malls ,Chinese food imports in shops, very likely to lead to recession around the world unfortunately.
I live in Busan not to far from Daegu and we are seeing a surge of cases as well but from everything I’ve read and what we know about this type of virus the spreading should peak by April or May at the latest...by summer we should be coming out of this and have it under control. Also, I heard a vaccine should start to become available by summer. It’s scary and we are all a bit on edge here but there have been far more recoveries than deaths in China so that’s encouraging.
As long as it’s slowed down so we get it in the spring and summer here in the Uk where there should be little impact on the British population then the WHO can focus it’s help on those poor countries who’s healthcare systems need the extra support to deal with it. To us it’s just a nasty flu, to the less developed they will need a lot of support.
It’s the rapid spread that is the worry and not the mortality rate - which is still lower than a stomach upset (hard as that is to bear)
Extend the travel ban to every country in the world. All countries need to do it. Screw the global economy. Just support the employees of effected businesses until this crisis is over.
South Korea has a good medical Service right?
And the Government is putting everything on the health system so?
Anyway this is a Virus and I do hope they can cope with this!
Very worried about my brother and my niece and nephews. They live in South Korea in an area where cases are popping up. Was supposed to come to the states for a visit this summer I hope traveling is permitted.
I've just had the best fish and chips ever.
Man has proven to be dangerous to the world with this man made bio weapon. From climate and environmental issues and now self detonating button in the form of corona virus.
Patricia Ruckert remember I have said S.Korea doing so well with transparent information and raising public caution ..., so great care from all levels of the government system! All of sudden they faced this outbreak !
The infectious rate of Wuhan pneumonia is unprecedented high. WHO underestimated the situation and most countries still not react properly to the threats. It is not about lethal rate only. This Coronavirus attack different organs including lungs and kidneys. Malfunctioned organs will affect you lifelong even you are recover. Please always wear a mask to avoid splash and clean your hand with soap frequently. Personal hygiene is essential to prevent spreading of epidemic disease.
people in north korea are dying too, they just won’t report about it
The world should watch South Korea keenly. The unfolding in South Korea would be a true reflection of the actual spread and epidemiology of COVID-19 within a given country. The numbers and rates of transmission from China were doctored/fake.
Honestly, imagine how bad this is in North Korea? The entire country has gone very quiet.
This case highlighted a conflict between personal freedom and national health security. Only if the South Korean government had the authority of force procurement of specimen in times of crisis it would have successfully detected the super carrier and prevented this outbreak.
My country is doing a meticulous job in collecting data and curing the infected ones. The info is transparent and ppl r very cautious as we have learned how to handle the matter from SARS and MERS. The docs are working around the clock to tackle
the problems. Hope the Gov't does its job properly.
Hope all goes well in few months. I have families in South Korea and am so worried too...
Australia are we next ,such lax rules
It's entering the out of control phase by the sounds of it - whereby it will exponentially increase across the country unless steps to restrict movement and quarantine are put in place.
This happens when you have a dangerous neighbour who messes up while you are least aware.
If God doesn't help us the world will come to and end!
The case of negligence on their part simply because they've heard it all in China and should have put advance measures to curtail it as it was reported in the country, than China is battling with.
This is the result of one crazy woman who purposely infected people....family in Korea near there told me the story which we haven't seen here. She went sick to her religious event of 1000 people...
This is so grave 😥 I pray from all mighty to stop this epidemic and hope any vaccine or medicine can be invented to save humankind 🙏 people awareness about this is must all over the world now.
But what are the death rates if that's low outside of China we will be fine hell the flu closes schools in the US sometimes yet most of the staff and students recover this is not the 1300's plauge people.
Hope they both recover fully from injury and shock.
There is nothing lower than those who prey on the vulnerable. Lowest form of cowardice!
Please get police to organise the home safety team, you should get an intercom, chain on doors and panic button for around your neck, front and back doors need to be strong and secure, with deadlocks, also keep a dog, they will rise a noise barking if anyone is about!
Have a strong chain fitted also an intercom, and a spy glass.Stay safe.
Good for you , but it's so sad that these people at their time of life , had to endure this ordeal. Hope they were caught.
Why do people even unlock the door, just look through the window, if your not expecting anyone, don't answer the door, phone the police, you don't have to answer the door, I don't, it's a dangerous world
A 102-year-old man fought off a much younger attacker without a gun. I hope America realizes just how courageous, resourceful, and strong this good gentleman is. I'm horrified that this happened to he and his wife at all, much less twice in six months. The police need to provide more patrols in this area. I hope the criminal is caught and convicted!
God bless you both..hope and pray you recover from it soon..you shouldnt have had to suffer from any off this at your time of life.Hope they catch him..the low life.
Bloody good job, I am in my 70's and live alone, If I do not know or cannot see who is at the door - well cheerio. Also I keep a saw, yes a saw to defend myself, 2 hands on the handle and just slash with it, makes it that bit more difficult for the baddy to get a hold of.Have not had to try it out yet but it makes me feel safe. Well done to you both, sending love and strength for a speedy recovery.:)
Stay safe both of you. I hope you fully recover from your trauma. If the police or council read this item i hope they do something about it to make your home more secure.
Having a strong chain fitted on the door prevents someone pushing their way in. Hope dome one fits it for them.
Hope the police catch that low life soon. It's helpful to have a chain fitted at the door, and a peep hole (my stepdad fitted one for my front door when I moved into my last place). Ask to see identification.
But in the end, you can't live your life in fear. Poor people! Twice in 6 months.
Aww...love to you, Joan and John.
John, you're a hero and hope your poor arm heals soon. Hope also that both of you lose any anxieties, after this, very quickly! ❤
I don't know how people can stoop so low. I hope they are caught and put away for a long time. Best wishes to this man and his wife for a speedy recovery.
Bloody hero but what a world we live in where this is even happening . You live to that sort of age you have earned the right to some peace and safety.
Good for him to stand up to these people but I wish he didn't need to. Hope they are safe and on the road to recovery.
Can the police put cameras outside and an intercom to enable the couple from opening the door if unsure.
What a sad society we live in.
No one should experience this especially when older.
Speedy recovery to this brave couple.xx
How despicable. I hope this lovely couple manage to recover from the shock and that measures will be put in place for them to feel safe. Always put the chain on and if you don't recognise the person don't open the door.
How the hell could anyone do that to a man of that age. It makes me so angry. Could the police not organise some sort of security system for this couple to keep them safe from the low life who do these things.
it's so sad that our elders are not respected. it happens in Australia too. We have screened lockable security doors on our front and back doors so we can see who is there before letting anyone in
All doors and windows need to be kept locked and not opened unless you know the person is arriving ! There is too much scum walking about these days it is not safe anywhere however old you are ! Hope the lovely couple will be ok!!
Absolute cock womble. An incredibly old frail man opened the door. Just tell him you have the wrong address and walk away! Good on the guy for standing up for himself I hope he has a speedy recovery.
Maybe the local police should give these older people in the community better door locks like video locks. They are tough old birds, and the injuries on the man’s arm look horrible particularly because he is much older and older people bruise in a horrible way. God bless them. Kudos for fighting back!
Absolutely disgusting, makes me sick how anyone can do this. Well done to the gentleman who fought him off, people like you should be celebrated and given awards for your bravery!
Such an awful experience for this elderly couple!! Hope they both have a speedy recovery!!
Maybe it's time that people had Security Gates fitted on their Front Doors, so even if the front door is opened - the "visitor" can't get in!!
(We have them here in South Africa!)
As I have always said...don't mess with old people. You always look bad, they have been through more crap than you could even begin to imagine and they have made it. never underestimate old people. Getting old is not for the fain of heart. Go them!
They must be well endowed in Ilkeston, as that Is one big glory hole!
This is so amazing! We will definitely be visiting Ilkeston now.
Happy to queue to see this hidden gem 🕳 🤭
First the Bude Tunnel, now the NatWest Hole, we are truly making the new wonders of the world.
Such a rounded attraction, honestly you go round in circles looking for it but when you find it it’s a hole lot of fun
Amazing brickwork. It is surprising to learn it was made in the 1990's.
someone should make looking through it worth the wait. put a message or clue to something the viewer will see. a joke. a hashtag. a tiny vista paired on the opposite wall as mural. change it up.
The old American adventure theme park simply couldn’t compete. I mean how could it , having such a landmark so close! 😂
I must go there right now before the smash they h3ll away. Anyone know the best airline to book first class this Sunday? One in a million life time.
Brings new meaning to the term 'Glory Hole'.
I'll wear my sensible shoes for the queuing. Can't wait!
I imagine peak times are 9:00 pm and 3:30 am. Bring a friend, or meet one on the way!
Will have to save up for a visit!
Sometimes you just have to love the internet 😂😂
And people, how you use that glory hole is: you lay down on the ground, put your neck through it with your face on the other end looking up___ open wide___ and bingo___ drop it in!!!
... at least that's what Ive heard, is how one does it👅
trip?.. lemme see that on my very keenly eye! "it is good in the eye, ones saidth to all yea.
by Lady Maggi (Magdalene Foremother)
Funniest comments are from those taking the story seriously. Some people definitely missed the queue when a sense of humour was being given out.
I've seen something similar in a park toilet. Believe me you don't want to put your hand through..
Wow must be a world record for the biggest glory hole in history.
When I was 11 I joined the Brentwood Imperial Youth Band started by the wonderful John Wyndham. 30 years ago he believed that all kids no matter their background should be able to learn to play an instrument. He charged (and still does) only £1 a week for two evenings a week at two hours a session of music tution!! Coming from a one parent family my mum couldn't afford expensive music lessons.
I now have three daughters in this band and I now volunteer there myself!
Mrs Gresham was my maths teacher at high school. She single-handed got me through my maths O level by making the lessons fun and believing I could do it. Nothing was too much trouble and she always had time for everyone. It’s 39 years since she was my teacher and, unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago. She will always be the best teacher I ever had.
Norman Greenshields - Ashmole School, Southgate, London - 1970’s. More than a maths teacher. A mentor to so many of us. I certainly wouldn’t be where I am now without his teaching, mentoring and continual pushing and advice. He passed away a couple of years ago but glad I was able to thank him at a school reunion. A great man.
His name was Alfred Armes he was a nursing lecturer in Sunderland in the early 80s ,he was elderly and looked like Albert Einstein .We were all young silly girles, histrionic and delinquents in some cases, fulfilling the punk image, bitchy, seductive, dreamy, angry, emotional but he treat us all the same ,like adults, he never seemed to judge anyone , he was calming and safe and got me through those confusing years ,When training was finished I felt ok about myself, self respect intact because he seemed to believe in me.
Mrs Hill, year 5 - she fired imaginations and made sure the whole class knew that everyone had a skill or ability that made them a bit special. Wonderful times.
Yes, my Boss brother helped shaped my life through religion, he was an harikrishna while I'm Christian
Robert Flowerday, my maths A Level teacher at Antrim Grammar School.
I had done particularly badly at a test that everyone else had done well in. I had scored less than 20%. He came to me and said instead of coming to class he said go to a quiet room with the correct answers, that he had provided and work my way through it.
That kind thought has stuck with me over 30 years and was always my benchmark as a teacher.
Tragically murdered last year. A true inspiration
I have no teacher in all my schooling that I can say did anything to help me, apart from being too quick to cane or strap me... And I understand I deserved it sometimes but nit one of them ever bothered to find out Why I acted like I did
Listened to his Desert Island Disc yesterday, what a moving account of his teacher, extremely emotional on his part. Had a tear rolling down my face just hearing him talk about it. Especially when he got to meet him again, despite his belief he'd passed away. A good teacher can save someone and help them down the right road in life instead of becoming just another stat.
Mr Upward at Westwood St Thomas in Salisbury. My English teacher and class tutor. Developed my love of language, theatre and Shakespeare. Flawed but good teacher. In contrast Mr Young, my Maths teacher who couldn’t be bothered with anyone who wasn’t naturally good at his subject, and made anyone who didn’t instantly understand sit at the back of the class, and feel a complete Maths dunce. Terrible teacher.
Nora Richardson at Ettingshall Junior School taught Country Dancing, longsword, Morris and rapper sword dancing. Gave me a lifelong love of country dancing which I still enjoy 70 years later.
Mrs Moore who became the 1st "Warden" to the pensioners housing in Mark Somerset made such an impression on me I made my mind up that I wanted to become a Warden also when I was old enough. This dream was fulfilled when I was mid 40s and Ithoroughly enjoyed my profession and enjoyed the job and the company of all the elderly people whom I met and helped.
I was in tears with him listening to his memories of childhood and thinking of my own children who used to wait and wait for a father who many times didn't turn up. Teacher in my life gave me a love of science.
I broke my collarbone playing rugby in PE at school......while being helped from the pitch back to school I paased the teacher who ran the football team....who said (in fun) "if you didn't want to play tomorrow you should have just said"....in pain....my response was "Fkkk off"..... I didn't play for the football team again...and he was my Maths teacher.....38 years ago.
Anyone who went to Highdown in Reading will know just how hard Mrs Hooton & Mr Berry from South House worked at keeping me on the straight and narrow but total respect to our biology teacher Mr Morris for letting me into his photography class - that changed my life and has continued to serve me ever since.
A Mr Nyirenda MHSRIP changed my approach to learning and completely transformed me into a studious learner
Mr Darwood, my history teacher, gave me a life long love of history.
Patrick Musonda (late) and Mr kaoma and Indala turned around my interest in reading the moment they appointed me librarian excellent teachers they were!
Teachers Rock! They make a world of difference in a child's life! Canadian here; I was lucky enough to have several who were rock solid. Could go to 2 of them with anything and receive direction, guidance, counsel, leadership advice. We have a huge strike going on at the moment in Ontario, my home province due to a Conservative government that is slicing, dicing, filleting and deboning our Public and Private Education system. They are absolutely crippling, hobbling the programs, environment and teacher's salaries (incredibly underpaid for what they are asked to accomplish) and Canadian Taxpayers (kids AND parents) are fed up to the teeth with their ruthless attack on education. This tribute is a heartfelt testament to the power, impact, leadership abilities they impart. Thanks for the share.
Yes Mr Smeising was my maths teacher at Noadswood secondary school. He was so patient with us and I passed my O level thanks to him. I continued to love maths- I have taught it for over 30 years now and still such a buzz from it. Thank you Sir.
Mr Morris. Pushed me to stand up for myself and got me into the school rugby team at junior level. Harsh but fair. 🏉
There was a teacher who used to stand at the whiteboard in extremely tight trousers. She had a life changing impact on teenage me.
A teacher called Miss Edwards, always encouraged my ability to draw and paint!
My late husband says his coaches and his teachers saved his life. Because they were there when they said meet me!
Margaret Judson at TWGGS who, 60 years ago, gave me a lifelong love of the English language.
Thanks for letting us know. Maybe we need to do a better job on informing the public of the reality and facts of climate change. This will be a slow process. By the time it will be obvious it’s too late.
If the study by Brown is accurate, it’s very disturbing. Logically, the organizations responsible for the bots would be those with vested interests in denying climate change, such as those in the fossil fuel business ..... but which organizations?
Sounds about right... The sort of people who deny climate change are likely to believe the world is flat and all manner of conspiracies. They're easily manipulated and im sure the Russian hydrocarbon industry understands that all too well...
Given the fact the urban centers and industrial areas are warmer than surrounding rural areas and we still deny that human activities can’t affect the climate.
And here comes the bots and the climate ‘experts’ with high school degrees...
There are probably a lot of bots behind the laughing reaction emoticons to news articles on climate calamities here on Facebook as well.
If who does not believe in Climate change, please come here in south asia where climate change and global warming is showing prominent impacts on whole eco system because already south asia's climate is warm.
I’ve seen three comments already from different people saying, verbatim, “bots are also posting pro climate change hysteria.”
I think we found a few of the bots.
Why are people not using the same method to spread correct information? It's all spam, and it's annoying we know, but maybe this should be used?
Glaciers formed the Lake District........now they're long gone, in fact long gone before any airplane, motor car or power station. I dare anyone to dispute that fact.
Yes. Everyone knows this. Everyone knows social media is flooded with trolls and Bots. No one in social media will do anything about it because their revenue streams depend on high user content. It's all fake and manufactured.
I just feel bad for the poor souls who fall for it and make their life choices based on it.
BBC another so called news outlet that is becoming completely unreliable. You are going to have to show more than assertions.
Dont blame bots, the earth changes, fact it will get warmer fact (not just because of human activity fact) the earth may get colder fact, the poles are shifting not because of global warming fact, the earth is not infinite fact, one day it will implode fact, solar energy from sun influences our seasons fact, the sun one day will burn out or explode fact, nothing much we do will have any baring on the changes to our climate fact. Dont get me wrong we can do lots to reduce waste from plastics
5 x the carbon foot print 56 million yrs ago...Dinosaurs drove BIGGER cars
Bots are extremely easy to spot and have very little impact on what people decide for themselves.
That is why you don't rely on one source or internet rubbish media, and you do more research with tons of sources on important decisions and decide then for yourself! Especially know that media has an agenda and Money buys souls.
Ha! This is so validating for anyone that's been disagreed with. " its Russian bots" lol.
And right on cue, the bots start turning up posting comments that are coincidentally worded exactly the same!
More BBC twoddle. Climate change is happening all around us. Denial bots, pro bots !! This has made me laugh out loud !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You can guarantee claim the change deniers failed science subjects at school. Sad that they have to spread lies to feel “important”. The funniest ones are those that claim those who believe in scientific consensus are sheep....yet they follow the conspiracy crowd into ignorance via YouTube videos.
When media was sponsored or paid by some millionaires the affected people showed their voice against real issue of climate change now upper class is worried about upcoming revoultion so they again trying to make less valuable this struggle. So BBC or CNN etc are paid news agencies.
“Likely”, “suggest”, “probability”. So nothing absolute or conclusive was determined. Seems like an elaborate guess.
I don’t think anyone denies that the climate changes. We know we’ve had ice ages in the past. North America was covered with ice miles deep. I think the disagreement is about how much change is caused by human activity. That seems like a reasonable question to debate. The facts of the subject itself are all that matters. The number of people (or bots) stating their opinions is irrelevant.
Denials made by bots and climate change belief by tho who don’t understand without humans the world had the Jurassic era w insane heat, two ice ages, continental shift and an entire host of life changing climate issues all before humans.
100% of climate change posts are made by the same ppl who believed in “acid rain” & “holes in the ozone” as sure destruction points of humanity.
Of course they do. Bots post tones of comments in favour or against specific topics & they run by scanning posts made with specific words in their title & automatically respond to those comments with predefined comments.
It's a problem no matter where you go with automated programs mimicking human activity.
And this is why we are stuck with the current president. This is why antivaxxers exist, this is why we have infighting. They think it's all fun and games to play a giant mind fu*k/psychological experiment on a large populus of people.
